Lia Smile – flowers with a smile

Meet Liana Bota, the heart and soul behind Lia Smile – flowers with a smile, a flower shop in Lupșa, Alba County.

Liana is 39 years old and grew up in Lupșa – the place she feels closest to her heart. Her parents’ house, built at the foot of a hill, and the surrounding field were the universe of her childhood. From the first spring flowers until late autumn, she would gather bouquets and arrange them in the display case in her mother’s kitchen, filling glasses with color and fragrance. Then she would cross the fence to the neighbors and give them flowers too.
In a way, she does the same thing today.

Liana creates bouquets and floral arrangements in her flower shop in Lupșa – the place that raised her for this.
Seven years ago, she began creating arrangements from dried and preserved flowers, which were highly appreciated by clients. Driven by the desire to grow, she started working with fresh flowers as well.

Today she offers arrangements for all of life’s moments: weddings, baptisms, anniversaries, as well as for more sensitive times, when flowers become a form of respect, empathy, and remembrance.
For Liana, each order is a return to childhood. For this reason, she says she offers not just products, but emotion, joy, and genuine care.
