Allow us to introduce Iulia Șerban—graphic designer, illustrator, and the initiator of the ArteGra project.

An explorer of book graphic design and easel graphics since 2005, Iulia moves between an urban and a rural creative environment. She is based in Alba Iulia, yet has an inspiring retreat in the mountains around the village of Poșaga. There, she seeks and finds inspiration through all her senses.

This summer, a new exploration begins in Poșaga under the ArteGra umbrella—a series of atelier.ele amprenta,
dedicated to women.
A three-stage journey, in nature:

  • working with handmade paper
  • exploring and rediscovering one’s personal symbol
  • translating it through woodcut printmaking

—draw their first source of inspiration from nature: the nature of things, human nature, the nature of creative ideas, and above all, Living Nature.
More than technique, these workshops are an invitation to mindful simplicity—to choosing what is essential, to slowing down, to reactivating vital energy through handwork and direct contact with natural materials.
The workshops also bring into focus the concept of ecocentrism: a simple lifestyle that involves reducing dependence on technology and excessive consumption, closely linked to sustainability. It is a reminder that we are not the center of nature, but part of it. We belong to it.
In these gatherings, Iulia brings not only professional know-how, but also a distinctive sensitivity. She works with natural materials; plants and nature “speak” to her in a profound way, and her respect for every living being can be felt in everything she creates.
