Anadora Lupo // Vințu de Jos • Alba County Alba

Today, we introduce Anadora Lupo, a visual artist and sculptor, a graduate of UAD Cluj-Napoca, who, alongside her husband and family, brings metal to life in their workshop in Vințu de Jos, Alba County.

For Anadora, metal is not a rigid material, but a living one, surprisingly malleable and sensitive, capable of taking forms that tell stories about space, people, and identity.

Their work beautifully balances sculpture and functional objects, achieving equilibrium between technical rigor and artistic expression. Each project is conceived in relation to its intended location and the person who will use or view it, resulting in more than just an object – it is a captivating presence.

The workshop is a space of transformation, where iron, brass, copper, or steel become starting points for exploration and construction. From furniture pieces that change their dynamic with light, to extensive architectural interventions, each work is crafted with meticulous attention to detail, proportion, and durability.

The materials are processed using a combination of modern and traditional techniques – from charcoal forging to riveting, embossing, soldering, or engraving – all reflecting a deep care for the material and for work well done.

Behind this universe also lies a family story: Anadora works alongside her husband, Nicolae Lupo, and sometimes even their children are part of this vibrant space, growing up with respect for materials and work, just as she grew up in her parents’ ceramics workshop.

Her artistic presence is also recognized in the public sphere, being featured in specialized publications such as:
🔗 Revista Mobila and participating in exhibitions, the most recent being part of the Month of Romanian Sculptors, at CIAC Baia Turcească, Octogon Hall.

In her hands, metal becomes expression, balance, and meaning.
